EVS - EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE

Since we started with the association we were willing to expand our perspective and to integrate people and projects.
There were many projects going on (training, seminars, workshops, events, etc.) that the association was running and the EVS represent, for us, an opportunity to increase possibilities and to take part in a bigger network. Being in this network means a challenge for diversity and variety.
As Host Organisation, the EVS opens a chance for our organisation to develop different projects regarding socio-cultural aspects. Firstly, the project is based in one school that interacts with youngsters between 14 to 19 years old (high school students). Some of them may need some support related with social disorders.
Giving the possibility to volunteers to participate on this projects means:

- To be creative with proposals
- To stimulate diversity
- To help or to contribute to the organisation in events and campaigns
- To learn and share experiences
- To be integrated in the local community
- To promote the non formal learning in different fields (art and culture, antidiscrimination, welfare, environment)

As a sending organisation we consider that the whole EVS Program is a great option for young people to be involved in EU Programs.
In Italy, in particular the Lombardia region is overpopulated and opportunities for the young sector is reduced. That’s why being active as a non-profit organisation allows us to be active regarding youth policies. Also this chance for young people needs a support and we strongly consider that we can construct interrelations with the other organisations and in that way, to help and motivate young people.
There are a lot of possibilities going on and many projects as well, so we will take part as Sending Organisation to stimulate and create relations with partners and activities.

As coordinating organisation we found interesting the fact that we can have a partnership with different organisations and projects. This fact encourages us to be participants and promoters of seminars, training, youth exchanges, Grundtvig activities and all the activities connected with Youth in Action Programs.
Before being in the EU Network we already started organizing events, workshops, courses, trainings, stages, school psychological and social support. Taking part of the network as CO push the organisation and the people involved in the local community to take part to this opportunity.
